ooc: Magma's eyes too were drawn to Esca's scars. He had experienced the ferocity of Kensar as well. When he was just a kit, and his parents were slaughtered. A tattered left ear reminded him of it daily. That accursed General of Koru's - Kaylink. Magma's claws twitched just thinking of that vile cat.

Esca looked at the lioness almost ashamed. He knew he shouldn't be, it wasn't his fault, but for some reason....He was suddenly tired, and the darkness didn't help the wearyness. Maybe he should just go to sleep. No, he couldn't. Had to stay awake.

Sikimo nodded swiftly. "Stay away from the king, and don't get caught. That's always been a given. Hmm... I think I'll go by Chink this time." He silently calculated a good story. If anyone asks, I'm a mercenary named Chink who was looking for a good job. Then I can leave without them getting suspicious because mercenaries never stay in one place too long. "I don't plan on being long, just a little walk in enemy territory." He cheekily winked. He darted quickly to the small, gurgling stream running along the wall. Sikimo gave himself a good scrubbing to rid him of Alhazer scent, and rolled in a pile of dirt. He swiftly apologized for the cloud of dust he disturbed. Sikimo nodded again to his queen, as well as the huge tiger and black wolf. He bowed once more, before springing easily to the a small ledge in the wall. He followed a series of ledges before he arrived at the top. He lithely jumped to the boughs of the rowanwood tree, silent as a mouse. He was on a mission. A mission to enemy territory.
To: Enemy territory, somewhere.
OOC: While in Kensar I will post with him as Chink.

Ashara looked at the wolf somewhat fondly. The creature was tired and weary from wherever he had come. The Queen had two sides. One gentle and one fierce. One in which she had every maternal instinct in the book and another where she fought like a true lioness. She had paws and claws, tail and teeth. And right at this moment, the Queen of Kingdom Alhazar felt soft toward the wolf.
Running a rough tongue between the canine's ears (something that was considered somewhat of a blessing for a Queen to do), Ara spoke.
"Esca, I'd like you to come with me to the castle. I will personally find you a room and make you right at home. I have a lovely friend that will fit your wounds and needs well. Her name is Arya."
Giving another nod to Sikimo, the feline rested her head on the panda's forehead before he left. "Good luck, my friend," she whispered. Watching him go, her voice was heard once more.
"Magma, would you like to accompany Esca and I?"

Esca looked at the ground then up at the lion in front of him. His sapphire eyes had a glint of trust in them for some reason. He usually didn't trust someone so easily, it was dangerous as he had found out. But this wasn't Kensar.
He got up then nodded, "Ok," his voice was weary, but had something in it, maybe pride? In truth, Esca was a very impressive wolf. His body was quite sinewy, and his claws dangerously long. His fur ebony, and eyes the color of bright blue sapphires. The orange patch under his muzzle was beautiful and unique, and his fangs were like razors. Esca breathed in deeply, looking at Ashara, then made a statement, "I-i was wondering if you would allow me to help in protecting Alhazar if battle comes upon this kingdom." Esca bowed his head to the lioness, eyes closed.
He looked up again, glancing over at the large tiger, who was about the size of two Escas. Maybe he could find friends here. But for some reason, the black wolf couldn't help but feel a little wary of the whole kingdom, even of Ashara, though he did trust her a little. He tried to grasp his personality, try to figure it out, unravel the odd mystery that he himself did not know. A though raced through his mind, making him a little nervous. But what if I have to fight my family? Even though his family was not the nicest of people, he would have hated to have to fight his own family. Yeah, he was just another black wolf, but the orange patch and the scars marked him as Esca...The traitor. The last two words he thought made him want to shudder, but he held it back, looking at Ashara and Magma silently.

"Esca, you may know, but we need more fighters. Kensar is rising in population. Of course, you are welcome to fight for us. Your loyalty is accepted if you will faithfully oblige to protect and defend this kingdom at all costs, even if it means your life," she spoke the last sentence very seriously. All warriors of Alhazar had put their lives on the line. It was the risk of being a warrior, as Sikimo carried the risk of being a spy, and Magma a guard.
The Queen nodded to the tiger. Rising from where she sat she spoke once more. "Esca, can you walk unaided? If not, Magma will help your steps."
Ara watched the wolf carefully. She would not have one of her own uncared for. She would love each and every Alhazarian the same. It was something she had learned to do since birth, and she truly did love them all.

Esca looked at her and in his mind he thought wearily. Like my life hasn't been on the line before. It was not thought with contempt but more with a tired feeling. He walked forward unsteadily at first, but regained some strength, placing his paws upon the ground with more strength then he thought he possessed at the moment. His newest wound, a scar running from his ear to his nose, was still a little red but he ignored it. It didn't hurt that much, "I can walk," he replied, looking at Ashara with a steady glance.

Ashara nodded her head calmly. She took a moment, glancing at Magma. Her eyes betrayed nothing, though the white tiger would know what the Queen's odd expression meant. If the wolf were to fall, Magma would support him. It was something that the animals of Kingdom Alhazar would defend for life. They had always been known to be caring, gentle and kind when not in battle. Even the fiercest warriors had the softest hearts. If Esca would grow weary, he would be comforted to know that almost every animal in this Kingdom would be there for him.
But at the same time, this was not the case. Esca was from Kindom Kensar. She was from the very lands that the Alhazarians did not trust with claw nor tooth. Kensar was a traitor land. They called it the Blood Fields, the Black Place, and the Kindom of Lies. Few trusted Kensarians. Welling in Ara's heart was a deep hope that her people would except Esca. Something about the black wolf made the Queen sure that he only meant good. He was different...unique, and Ashara felt as if she could already trust him. Only time will tell
